A username you keep
Pick one once, and friends find you again, even on a new phone. Our server knows only that the name is taken and which phone has it. Rather not? Every room still takes a nickname.
Friends and favorites
Tap anyone in a room to add them as a friend, star them as a favorite, or ask them to a private chat. Your friends and favorites stay on your phone.
Your own photo
Swap your critter for your photo. It stays on your phone and goes out locked, only to rooms where you show your username.
React with any emoji
Press and hold a message to react, like texting. Emojis look the same on every iPhone and Android phone.
Call the room
In a Family, Friends or Private room, call one person or everyone, up to 8 at once. Cameras start off, so it's a voice call until someone turns theirs on. The room's chat stays on screen for anyone who can't have sound on, and the call can show whoever is talking. With no signal, the call goes phone to phone.
Photos and videos
Share them in any room that allows them. They go straight from phone to phone, locked, and are never kept on our server.
Your family on a map
In a Family room, anyone can turn on Share my location. Your family sees them on the map, even with Roomor closed, and nobody else can, not even Roomor.
Games, any time
21 games, from Spades to Snake. Play on your own, against Roomor, or with everyone in your room.
Invite links and QR codes
Share a link or show a QR code, and whoever opens it is in the room right away. Whoever started the room can make a new code to stop old links working.
Hidden rooms
Hide any room behind your PIN, Face ID or fingerprint. It never shows on Home, and its notifications never say which room or what was said.

Pick your look
Show your username or a nickname, with one of 32 critters and a color, or your own photo. No real names, and nobody else in the room looks like you.
Talk
Messages land instantly. When the last person leaves a public room, it closes an hour later and its messages are gone.

Built for strangers in the same place, so safety isn't an afterthought.
No account
No name, phone number or email. Your phone gets a random ID, plus a username if you pick one, and that's all Roomor knows about you.
Every room has a rating
Whoever starts a room picks how much language it allows. Your phone masks words to match.
The room decides
Block anyone for yourself, and their requests stop too. Report what they said. When enough people in a room vote, that person is removed and can't come back.
Locked on your phones
Messages, reactions, photos, profile photos, calls, game moves and family locations are locked with keys that live only on the phones in the room. Not even Roomor can read them. The server passes messages along and deletes them after a day; calls never touch it.
