- Roomor has no accounts. We never ask for your name, phone number or email.
- Your exact location never leaves your phone. Only a rough area does, and the server forgets it within 6 hours.
- The server holds messages for up to 24 hours so people can catch up. Your phone keeps the history.
- No ads and no tracking tools in the app. You can delete everything from Settings at any time.
Who we are
Roomor is made by Slover Digital in Florida, USA. In this policy, "we" means Slover Digital. You can reach us at support@roomor.app.
What the app handles, and why

Location
Roomor asks for your location only while you're using the app. Your phone turns it into a rough map square before anything is sent. Your exact coordinates are never sent to us, and we don't track where you go.
Messages
Messages are encrypted on your phone with a key that belongs to the room. They're also encrypted on the way to our server and while stored there. Our server holds each room's key so it can check messages and so reports can be reviewed, which means Roomor is not end to end encrypted. We look at messages only to review a report or when the law requires it.
Your phone saves the history of rooms you're in. It's protected by your phone's passcode, left out of backups, and deleted when you leave the room or the room closes.
When things are deleted
- Public rooms close an hour after the last person leaves. A phone that hasn't used Roomor for 2 hours counts as gone.
- Invite rooms close after 2 days, or stay until everyone leaves if the person who started them chose to keep them.
- When a room closes, everything in it is deleted from our server.
- Delete my data in Settings removes your phone from every room and deletes everything our server holds for it, right away. Reports stay for 90 days so they can still be reviewed.
No signal
When there's no internet, Roomor sends messages directly to nearby phones over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and those phones pass them along to the rest of the room. Messages stay sealed with the room's key the whole way, so a phone passing a message along can't read it unless it's in the room. Phones only share the room and a short-lived ID for this, never your name or number.
Blocking
When you block someone, only your phone knows. We aren't told, and neither are they.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't share it for advertising.
- The app has no ads, no analytics and no tracking tools from other companies.
- We don't build profiles of you.
This website
roomor.app uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. Google receives your IP address and details about your browser for that. The app itself does not use Google Analytics.
Who helps us run Roomor
- DigitalOcean hosts our server in the United States.
- Cloudflare carries traffic to our server and protects it from attacks.
- Google provides analytics for this website only.
We may share information if the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety.
Children
Roomor is for people 13 and older, and Adult rooms are only for people 18 and older. If you believe a child under 13 is using Roomor, contact us and we'll delete their data.
Your choices and rights
Because Roomor has no accounts, the fastest way to delete your data is Delete my data in Settings. You can also turn off location for Roomor in your phone's settings, although you'll then only see invite rooms. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access or delete your information. Write to us and we'll help.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If the change is important, we'll say so in the app.
